Custom Den

Before & After

For these Denver homeowners, we transformed their wet bar into a library. We hand selected the wood and carefully crafted this comfy, built-in reading alcove. The warm wood tones and soft furnishings make this a perfect spot to crack open a book or relax with family and friends.

Kitchen Remodel

Before & After

First off in this remodel, the drop ceiling had to to go. Beyond that, we re-oriented the layout to improve function and added space by removing a wall. The custom, in-set cabinetry with integrated face frames make this a welcoming space to gather.

Breakfast Nook

Before & After

Before the remodel, this kitchen was full of sharp angles and lines and looked chaotic.  We took the room back to the studs and built it back up again to create flow, function, and visual harmony.

Porticos

Before & After

In this Georgian-style Denver home, the outdoor area was lacking architectural detail or interest.  The client wanted a place to entertain guests and also wanted to add indoor square footage in the basement to house an exercise and guest room.  The new porch has period detail to seamlessly match with the original house, including dental moulding. We also added a porch swing to harken back to the home-owner’s childhood in the American South.

Landscaping

Before & After

This client’s pool was underused because the deck and surrounding landscape was dated and small. We revitalized the space by enlarging the pool deck to create an entertaining spot, relaying tile along the pool border, and laying down Pennsylvania blue flagstone. The pergola, with custom detailing, was added to offer shade when hosting dinner parties poolside.

Hallway

Before & After

This main hallway was nondescript and monochromatic. The doorways were low and made the space feel unnecessarily cramped. To open it all up, we increased the opening heights to 8 feet, added wainscot, crown moulding, and a new handrail.  It now is an elegant and attractive space connecting the home’s living spaces.

Living Room

Before & After

A plain and ordinary fireplace is transformed into a statement making centerpiece in this living room remodel. The new stone mantel sets a soft tone for the space.  We also added balance and visual detail by installing two-piece casing around the windows.

Staircase

Before & After

First impressions matter, and this carpeted and cramped staircase in the front hall wasn’t making a good one.  We constructed this new steel staircase that floats out of the wall.  Each tread has in-laid reclaimed wood planks expertly set in the steel frame.

Bathroom

Before & After

From an outdated and lackluster space, a refined and refreshing powder bath was created to welcome guests.  Semi-transparent tiles were placed above the sink and grasscloth was applied to the walls.

Sunny Transformation

Before & After

This dark and enclosed hallway was transformed into a space that blends the outdoors with the indoors.  We took four arched-top, eighties style patio doors and created a 35 ft wide, 10 ft high glass opening. With the southern exposure, we selected appropriate glass to ensure the floors and the client’s furnishings would not be damaged by the sun.
